About Kim
Cooking has always been a HUGE part of my life. I followed my mom around the kitchen watching and writing down everything she cooked. I remember my first dish that I cooked was spaghetti and meatballs, I was just 12 years old and I fell in love with cooking ever since. Over the years my collection of recipes have been updated to suit my changing tastebuds and also because I’m married to a wonderful guy who loves to eat!
I started Ordinary Recipes Made Gourmet to celebrate food and what my mom taught me in the kitchen though she hated cooking. And after a little while I met Jen on Twitter and instantly we hit it off! She started Name That Plant and we thought it would be a splendid idea to join forces in choosing a plant to feature each month where she educates our readers on its origins and dazzles us with her wonderful photography while I use it in dishes! And that’s how The Garden Palette began! We publish twice a month so be sure to keep up with us as we don’t reveal the plant we choose until close to our post dates!
By day, I work from my home studio for several local clients as a graphics/web consultant but also I do administrative work for a couple ad management companies. And if I can manage some free time, I love paint for my online art gallery, conduct weekly prayer meetings, watch old movies and hang out with my hubby!
Kim is also the author of her blog: Body Bath Products and Kim’s Art Gallery.
